Office Safety


Office Safety - Offices can be categorised our second home because we spend a lot of time we are in the office. Almost eight hours we spent in the office and without realising we probably surrounded by hazard which can harm us.

Hazard in the office can be categorised into four (4) categories: physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic; 
  • Physical hazard composed of hazards associated with electric shock, equipment or machinery, lighting and temperature in the workplace. 
  • Biological hazards also lead to a state of the air conditioning system in the office, which will affect the mood and health of workers. 
  • Dust, gases, fumes and smoke are also categorised as chemical hazards.
  • Hazards associated mental stress, physical categorised as ergonomic hazard.

Among the accidents that occur due to hazards that exist in the office is slipping or getting tripped in wires and damaged carpet on the floor of the office. Electric shock also categorised accidents caused by negligence, which wires or electrical equipment is not properly maintained and thus causing significant physical hazard.

"Sick building syndrome" is a syndrome in which the employee will suffer adverse health when it comes to the office. This caused an atmosphere and conditions in a crowded office, bad ventilation, and lighting that should not be.
