Health and Safety Signs -When there are workers employed in a place exposed to accidents, they needs safety signs to guide them with all their tasks. Although most companies will give a good training on the various procedures and tasks, they still need the health and safety signs or boards.

Health and Safety Signs can be seen almost everywhere we go. A good example of this can be seen along many roads and often will contain a warning such as 'slow' or when approaching a railroad, so the appropriate action can be taken. In addition, there are many other warning signs that warn of hazards such as dangerous bend in the road, and some signs may be temporary, such as in the winter when the roads are icy and slippery surfaces.

The workplace can be very dangerous and safety signs should be in place to warn employees of any possible dangers. Therefore, in the workplace, health and safety signs should be in place to warn employees of any specific hazards and risks, and this is achieved by having the assessment of health and safety.

Health and safety signs cover a wide range of hazards and risks and some of these such:

  • Head and eye protection must be worn
  • Warning containers or pipes that contain hazardous substances
  • Certain signs can warn of prohibited actions such as smoking
  • Moving vehicle
  • The location of first aid equipment

Health and safety signs should be maintained after they are put in place, and the signs that are damaged or deformed must be replaced immediately or it may reduce their effectiveness. If the risk is considered insignificant, there may be no need to provide sign.
