According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), at one time, at least 1.4 million people worldwide suffer from infections caused by improper hygiene in hospitals.

Proper hygiene will consist of ensuring that all surfaces such as walls, floor and counter or table-tops are clean and sterile and fresh linen bed hospital that is frequently used.
