General Prevention:
- Use gloves (if needed) and safety shoes.- Examine objects such as nails, splinters etc.
- Plan to lifting operations - check obstacles along the way.
- Make stretching a limb.
- Check your feet and grip.
- Bend the knees and not the back.
- Closer to the body while lifting a load.
- Do not turn the half body, turn your whole body. If too heavy, get help.
- Use handling equipment if possible (hand trucks, trolleys, drum operator, forklift, etc..)
